United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
USDA is the country’s largest conservation agency, encouraging voluntary efforts to protect soil, water, and wildlife on the 70 percent of America’s lands that are in private hands. USDA is provides safety of meat, poultry, and egg products and also brings housing, modern telecommunications, and safe drinking water to rural America.

The Animal and Plant Health inspection Service (APHIS) is responsible for protecting and promoting U.S. agricultural health, administering the Animal Welfare Act, and carrying out wildlife damage management activities and efforts to provide the Nation with safe and affordable food.

NASD provides a national resource for the dissemination of information and promotes the consideration of safety and health issues in agricultural operations.
